| The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard comes across like a low-key Pauillac from Bordeaux. Cedarwood, black currants, roasted herbs, and spicy, smoky oak are present in this dark ruby/purple-tinged effort. The attack is impressive and the mid-palate is medium to full-bodied, but the finish seems slightly pinched and austere. Consume this 2006 over the next 10-12 years. |
